Small steps, steady progress

Each CEFR level from A1 to C2 is split into 4 steps, so instead of waiting months, you move up often. A short placement test sets where you start.

What is Boofly Talk?

Boofly Talk is an English speaking practice app for Persian speakers. In every conversation you talk with a new partner, say your replies out loud and get a score and a tip at the end. You can also have voice calls with learners at your level.

Who are the speaking partners?

In practice conversations your partner is a character with an English name and a male or female voice, like David or Emma; every conversation has a new one. In “Talk with others” you are matched at random with learners at your level you haven't met before.

How are the conversations made?

Conversations are written in advance for each level, goal and weak point, checked, and recorded. That's why you can start right away and listen to every reply before you say it.

How does the app know I said it right?

When you say your reply out loud, Boofly Talk compares what you said with the sentence you chose. Small slips are fine; if a word is missing, it shows you so you can try again.

How is my level set?

With a short placement test at the start. Boofly Talk has 24 small levels: each level from A1 to C2 has four steps, and the better you speak, the sooner you climb them.

Can I practise a topic of my own?

Yes. Write your topic in Persian or English and choose a male or female partner. If we need more details we'll ask; then the conversation is prepared and you start it in the app when it's ready.

What is talking with other learners like?

Calls are voice-only and random, with learners close to your level. Topic cards keep the conversation going, and you can report or block a partner whenever you need to. This part unlocks after a few practice conversations.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Boofly Talk is a web app you can install today on iPhone with Safari and on Android with Chrome. A native Android app is coming soon on Cafe Bazaar, Google Play and as a direct download.
